Talk about how this all began for you…
I started loving sneakers ever since I was a little kid. My older sister used to be very into sneakers as well, so when she had a pair she bought me a pair of the same sneakers as well. [But] I think I really got into sneakers once I started getting into the crazier kicks. I started getting tired of having the same sneakers as everyone else, so I always wanted to be different. The more attention I got, the more into it I got… I realized I was a sneaker fiend once I began running out of room under my bed, and my closet for them. Also, that I was buying 2 to 3 sneakers with every paycheck.
So tell us about the kicks…what styles? How do you pick ‘em?
The first pair I was crazy about were the elephant print limited edition Jordan 11s. Oh man I was going crazy for them, but everywhere I went, they didn't have my size…. My fave sneaker hunting story must me the incredible hulk dunks. I went crazy for those! I went to every possible store that would still have them, and went on ebay every single night. Luckily a co-worker sold them to me, for a really good price. The best part is that it was brand new.

I think growing up in New York gave my sneaker style more of a brighter style. My style has no limits with my sneakers. My sneakers have an urban/hiphop/soho/athletic feel to them. I'm very picky with my sneakers. They have to be really crazy, rare or comfy for me to own. I feel my sneakers say that I'm an individual, and versatile. I want them to say, here's a girl that can rock either a rare pair of kicks or a common pair of kicks but still has a unique look to it.

And what’s life like for a pair of your sneaks?
The life of my sneakers vary from the type. As for my Jordans, I like to keep them crispy clean. My dunks I like to take care of them, but I don't mind them getting a bit dirty. Dunks look hot crispy or dirty. I'm a dancer and I actually choose my dunks to dance with. You gotta make sure the shoe game is crazy while you're dancing. My other sneakers, I keep them clean as well. Making sure I clean them after every use. I decide to retire a pair if I know it's going to be worth a lot in a few years or if far too many people have them. I'll hold off on them until a few years later.
Now every time I see you at a sneaker party, you’re with the same cute guy, and he’s got some nice kicks, too. Any coincidence?
My boyfriend probably has the most impact on me being a sneaker fiend. Me and [him] are sneakers heads so we love it. We keep each other on point and on top of the game. If I were to go [shopping] with someone, I'd only go with my boyfriend. We don't like to expose our sneaker spots.

What about the female sneaker fiends? What do you have to say about them?
I don't have a specific role model, but I definitely look up to the b-girls out there. They definitely have a good sneaker style, and their fashion style to go along with it. I think the best part of being FEMALE sneaker fiend is that it's about us girls! Everyone is so used to hearing about the guys and they're crazy collections. But now we get a chance to show everyone a female’s style and how we rock it…. You [can] recognize a FSF if she has a rare or crazy pair of kicks along with a good sense of style to go with it. Being a FSF you gotta make sure the kick game and the gear is always fresh all day, everyday.... It challenges me to keep my game up.
