Can you remember the first pair of sneakers you were crazy about?
Yes! I was like 10 when I noticed a pair of my baby shoes that my mom had saved. They were ink and white British Knights. I knew that I didn’t appreciate them while I could fit in them, but after that day I wanted them in my size SoOoOoo bad!

Describe your sneaker collection.
My sneaker collection is mainly centered around my Chucks. Yeah, there are a few Filas and a few Nikes here and there, but mainly my Chucks. I have them in about 767,636,126,451 colors (okay, small exaggeration there). They used to be inexpensive compared to most kicks, but now that I get the customs they cost a lot more. My sneaker collection has been called rare, remarkable, outstanding, supa fly...I agree with all of that!

What makes you fiend for just ONE type of sneaker?
You know, you spend your whole life searching for the right shoe, and once you find it, what do you do? You get it in every freakin’ color! And with so many styles and variations, once I found my chucks there was no stopping it. People call me ”Chuckie”, because of my love for Chucks, or if you want my formal nickname, it’s “Mrs. Taylor”

What’s your favorite sneaker-hunting story or success?
One day I was at the mall, just because I had an itch to get some new Chucks. The Chucks that I was about to get were hot, but then somebody walked into the store with them on! I was like “Oh no, I can’t even get these now! I just can’t!”…So I had given up on my search for the day and went into a store with my mom, I was walking around when I came upon a shoe section at the back of the store. They had high heels galore but they had about 5 pairs of Chucks! Four of the pairs I already had but the fifth pair was AMAZING! I had never seen them before! Oh, you know they are in my closet now!

Do you think it’s different being a FEMALE sneaker fiend?
It’s SO different being a FEMALE sneaker fiend because a lot of guys think that there is no such thing. But that’s why we are here, to prove them wrong! The guys I know all bow down to the queen (ME) and are quick to tell you that I have a “mean shoe game”! The challenges of being an FSF is probably the guys you get that will challenge you and everything. Or other females that get jealous, but we just say “Blah” to them and keep it movin’…

Do you have a favorite pair of all time?
Yes! My Chuck Taylors with the wacky video cartoon drawings with all of the colors and an aqua interior. They RUN the shoe game!

What’s something that you must stay on top of if you’re a real FSF?
You have to know about the production of the shoe. Release dates are of major importance. Stay up on projects that companies release info about, and it could help you get exclusives before anybody even knows about the shoe!

How does your age / race / sexual orientation impact your being a sneaker fiend?
It’s hard for somebody my age to be a fiend because I don’t even have a job, but I still manage! It does so much in relationships that I have with guys. It turns me on when I find a shoe fiend, and it turns them on when they can talk to me about their shoes and I understand!

What do your sneakers say about you and who’s your audience?
My sneakers say that I am me, and I don’t care about anybody else in the building; when I come through, it’s all about my kicks! My audience is the world, and with my sneaker collection I will take over one day!
