Basically, The shampoos that are said to make your hair grow quicker don't really work. Putting something on your hair and scalp is not gonna make magic. What they do is break off a lil capsle at the root which makes your hair seem longer, but it really isn't. You can take vitamins like biosilk. I used to be a shampoo girl in a hair salon for 2 years, I massaged everyones scalp and many people noticed their hair grew in thicker and quicker. If your scalp gets stimulation, your blood will circulate more causing your hair to grow. I learned it in Beauty Schoool also.

All you have to do is massage your scalp for 3-5 minutes (works best with conditioner which is also good for keeping your hair healthy) in tiny circular motions. Yu don't have to press extra hard, you'll probably have a headache the next day if you do that.

And yes, brushing your hair when it's dry causes breakage.
The best thing to do while growing your hair out is not to put too much heat or curling products in it. If you use a flat iron, resort to blowing out your hair. If you always wear your hair curly, put a dimesize of conditioner through it when its wet & before you put products. Lay off the hair spray

Co-sign.
Their's nothing you can do to the hair itself, to make it grow longer.
Drink plenty of water, and take your vitamins! Lol

if u use the olive oil hair care line && wash && deep condition your hair every other week && blow dry it out && flat iron it. Your hair will grow a lot faster && healthier.

Jus avoid using a lot of heat on ur hair.

if you try to grow out your hair without tirmming it here and there, you will probably get split ends and your hair wont grow very fast.

OMG mane n tail is the best shampoo ever!!!

but if you want your hair to grow quicker you have to pretty much take care of it and brush it alot. Also, get trims often. It makes it healthier and grows quicker, especially with the mane n tail shampoo :D :D

actually, cutting your hair doesn't help it grow at all.
think about it, your hair is dead.
how would the scalp even realize your ends are cut lol.

sounds dumb.
but i've asked so many hair stylists, and thats just something they say to get people to trim their hair.

What ^^^^ is not true.trimming the ends helps your hair retain length.cause if you dont they just split upwards till they break thats why it may seem like hair isnt growing.you shouldnt be saying anything sounds dumb if you dont know all the facts yourself.

Have you ever noticed that men's hair and dreadlocks grow faster than regular hair? It's because when hair is in it's most natural state (i.e dirty with all natural oils) that's when it grows. Shampoo is actually really bad for your hair. Other than cleaning it, it strips your hair of all oils and nutrients. Then to restore it, you put conditioner, then once you blowdry you lose all that AGAIN. It's a viscious cycle. Natural hair is the best way to go. Make sure when you do wash your hair you use VERY moisturizing shampoos that don't take every ounce of nutrients from your hair. Also, massage your scalp. And the pulling of your scalp while rocking braids/cornrows in your hair DOESN'T MAKE IT GROW! If anything it can cause breakage! The reason your hair grows super fast when it's in braids is because you don't typically wash it, and it gets to be in it's most natural state. HAIR AND NAILS ARE DEAD SKIN CELLS from your body. Sounds gross but the dirtier you are, the faster your hair will grow.

honestly dont dye it and try not to blow dry or straighten or curl it so much. get a TRIM like every other month and your hair should grow i mean you wont see results in like 2 months but in like 5 months you most likely will. I used to bleach my hair all the time to have it blonde and i straightened and curled it everyday, my hair was sooooo fried its not even funny it was like bubble gum in the shower no joke.
